Get ready for one of our most anticipated events of the year! Palm Sunday Funday is a great way for families to connect and have a great time together while celebrating the Easter season at RCOG. Join us for an outdoor worship service at 10am, followed by lunch, an egg hunt for multiple age divisions (Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to participate), inflatables, cotton candy, popcorn, and more! The event will be held in the 5-acre development behind the Family Life Center on campus. This event is free to the public.

Check-in begins at 9am. Coffee Bar will be opened at that time, as well. The EGG HUNT will be held at 12:30pm!

Make sure to bring a lawn chair for the outdoor worship service!

Calling all current 5th graders—this one is for YOU! 🎉 This April on Wednesday nights, we’re launching Fusion 56, a brand-new 4-week small group experience designed specifically for kids who are getting ready to step into 6th grade and middle school. Led by Pastor Josh, Fusion 56 will help students feel confident, equipped, and spiritually strong as they enter a new season of life. We’ll be using a special curriculum written in-house, packed with fun, real talk, biblical truth, and practical tools for thriving in middle school.

Youth Movement Senior Trip

Youth Movement Senior Trip

The Youth Movement is excited to celebrate our graduating seniors with a special weekend road trip to Charlotte, North Carolina! This will be a fun-filled time of fellowship, adventure, and making memories together as we honor this important milestone in their lives.

We will depart from RCOG at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 17, and kick off the trip with dinner at California Dreaming. On Saturday, April 18, we’ll spend the entire day enjoying rides and attractions at Carowinds. On Sunday morning, we will attend worship at Elevation Church before heading back home.

To secure a spot on the trip, students must submit a $40 nonrefundable deposit by March 25. This deposit will cover the Carowinds meal plan for Saturday. Students should also plan to bring their own spending money for any additional purchases.

Hotels, transportation, and most meals will be provided for our seniors.

KidCity Drive-in Movie Day

KidCity Drive-in Movie Day

Get ready for our second annual KidCity Drive-in Movie Day! This event is for Pre-K through 5th grade. Doors open for check-in beginning at 9:30am in the Worship Center and the event begins at 10am. Kids will be designated into groups throughout campus and will be creating their very own “cars” out of fresh cardboard boxes (included in registration cost, supplied by RCOG). Kids will get to decorate their cars with a variety of other craft supplies. Lunch will be supplied by Chick-fil-A and snacks will be provided as well. After the cars are completed, kids will enjoy a movie on the Worship Center LED wall. The selection is Zootopia 2 (2025). Pick-up will begin at 1:30pm.

Cost is $20 per child. Use Code: KC40 for 40% when you register three or more children.

Note: We are providing nursery for families who have older siblings who are attending. Nursery age will not be watching the movie or participating in the craft activities. However, they will be provided lunch.

Youth Movement All Nighter

Youth Movement All Nighter

Get ready for one of the most exciting nights of the year! The Youth Movement will host our annual All Nighter on April 24, with doors opening at 9:00 PM. This action-packed night will be filled with games, activities, food, and plenty of fun as students stay up all night together.

The cost to attend is $35, which includes an All Nighter shirt, food, snacks, and drinks for the entire event.

Students do not need to bring anything other than a refillable water bottle. Please make sure to wear loose, comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for games and activities. Shorts should be school-approved length, and if biker shorts or leggings are worn, shirts should be long.

If this is your first All Nighter, be prepared—it’s truly an all-night event, and there will be no sleeping during the Element Games!

For safety, students will not be allowed to leave the RCOG campus until 7:00 AM unless parents provide written permission to Pastor Kevin in advance.

KidCity Slush Rush

Get ready for the ultimate chill night in KidCity! During our Revive Wednesday service on May 6 at 7:00 PM, the KidCity crew will have the gym all to ourselves for SLUSH RUSH — a high-energy night of roller skating, music, games, and the ultimate brain freeze!

All kids three years through 5th grade are invited to attend. The 3-5yr olds will be participating, but will have a separate time on the floor exclusively for them!

Bring your roller skates and get ready to roll as we turn the gym into a skating party. No skates? No worries! We will have plenty of games, hula hoops, and more to keep the fun going! We’ll also have a Slushie Bar loaded with tons of different flavors so kids can mix, match, and create their own icy masterpiece. We will have plenty of other snacks to keep you fueled up!

Grab your friends, lace up your skates, and get ready to roll into the coolest night of the month!

Mark your calendars for our fifth annual Love Your City Sunday! This is our biggest community volunteer event of the year! We are looking for 100% church wide participation—from the youngest to the oldest.

We are anticipating over 600 volunteers this year for close to 30 projects! We look forward to you and your family being a part of one of our most impactful Sundays of the year!

*Note for parents with Children:

Nursery will be located on campus per normal. Our PreK-5 Group will be visiting the local nursing homes, and all students 1st through 5th grade will be completing projects together on the church campus under Pastor Josh’s supervision. More details to come soon.

RCOG Men’s Fellowship Atlanta Braves Trip

Men of RCOG, it’s time for a road trip! Join us as we head to Atlanta to watch the Atlanta Braves take on the Texas Rangers at Truist Park. This overnight getaway will be packed with baseball, brotherhood, and plenty of fun — including Top Golf on Saturday morning before the big game.

We’ll depart Friday evening, enjoy a night in Atlanta (2 men per room), tee it up at Top Golf, and then take in the 4:10 pm Braves game from covered seating before heading home that night.

Cost: $200 per person (plus food)
Includes game ticket, hotel, Top Golf, and transportation.

A $100 deposit is due by Wednesday, April 1 to secure your spot.

KidCity Dodgeball Dance Party

Our Kids Department is throwing a Dodgeball Dance Party—part worship service, part dance party, and part full-send dodgeball for our KidCity Clubhouse (1st–5th graders).

We’ll kick off the night together with an exciting time of worship, then the 1st–5th graders will keep the party going with music, LED lights, glow sticks, and dodgeball in the Family Life Center.

Here’s how the night will flow:

  • Nursery: normal groups as usual

  • Preschool: will join for part of the worship service

  • KidCity Clubhouse (1st–5th): worship + dodgeball dance party

This is all happening in the Family Life Center while our adults are in the Revive Wednesday service in the main sanctuary—so the whole family gets a powerful night.

And yes, there will be snacks!

LYC PRoject: Halloween Handout

Our KidCity Love Your City Project for the fall takes place on Halloween Night (Friday, Oct. 31st!). Your kids have the opportunity to be a part of handing out 1,000 personal invitations to church all over Effingham County!

Each kid will be taking home a "Mega Bag" filled with 10 individual invitation packets that have info about KidCity, a full size candy, and a miniature Jesus figurine. They will get these bags on either Sunday, October 26th or Wednesday, October 29th. We will also be doing a ‘Be The Light’ Rally with the kids on Wednesday Oct. 29th to hand out the final bags to kids who haven’t gotten them, do a coordinating lesson, praying over the bags one final time.

All bags should be handed out on Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31st, or if you would prefer, your kids can hand them out during school that day. You can walk your neighborhood and hand them out, or you can hand them out from your door. We’re not asking you to dress up. In fact, if you’d like to wear one of your RCOG t-shirts, that would be excellent!

On a day that is filled with darkness, you have the opportunity to be the light!

Our Annual Effingham County Schools Prayer Walk will happen on Saturday, August 2nd. The doors will be opened to all schools in the country (elementary, middle, and high) from 9am to 12pm.

No matter your denomination or church affiliation, we are asking all who would like to pray to arrive to the school(s) of your choice during this time and to walk the campus and pray for the upcoming school year, leadership, and students.

Feel free to walk inside the building through the halls to pray, or around the outside of the campus to pray. It’s your choice. Simply arrive, walk and pray.

We will be hosting a Movie Night in the Worship Center beginning at 7pm. We will be showing “King of Kings”. Popcorn will be provided. All classes will be canceled tonight, with the exception of Nursery and Preschool. All 6yrs and up will be in the Worship Center with their families.

July 11–12 | RCOG Campus

For RCOG Kids Only (Grades Pre-K – 5)

✨ Get ready, heroes in training! ✨ Camp KidCity is BACK for its third year—and this time, it’s superpowered!

Join us for a two-day, superhero-themed adventure where kids will dive into fun, faith, and friendship as we explore “The Hero Within.” Through exciting hero training, games, devotions, and interactive activities, your child will discover the amazing power God has placed inside them.

🗓️ Event Schedule:

Day 1: Friday, July 11 (Grades 2–5 Only)

  • Arrival & Check-in: 4:00–4:30 PM

  • Overnight Campout in the Family Life Center

  • Activities include:
    🎮 Games
    🏰 Inflatables
    🎬 Movie on the LED Wall
    🍽️ Dinner & Breakfast Provided
    🙏 Devotion time

Note: Participation on Friday requires staying overnight.

Day 2: Saturday, July 12 (All Grades Pre-K – 5)

  • Arrival & Check-in (Pre-K – 1st): 9:30–10:00 AM

  • Water games, crafts, outdoor fun, and devotion time!

  • Lunch Provided

  • Pick-Up for All Grades: 2:00 PM

💵 Cost:

  • $35 – Full event (Friday–Saturday, Grades 2–5)

  • $20 – Saturday only (Pre-K – 1st Grade)
